The LIME start-to-bike project aims to help people who need the extra support to start their cycle-journey, so they can reach the 100km mark in Limburg’s Mooiste. During the run-up to Limburg’s Mooiste, LIME focuses on monitoring and measuring physical and mental health and progress.
The two condition measurements in this project are carried out with the competent and the advanced Omnical Sport. In these maximum exercise tests, the VO2max, acidity and maximum leg muscle strength are measured. These parameters are important for setting up an individual training schedule. The students, of various courses at Zuyd University of Applied Sciences in Heerlen, will provide intensive guidance to cyclists. All this is happening in a period of 12 weeks.
During the project, the easy-to-use Omnical Sport is broadly and intensively utilized by experts, teachers and interdisciplinary students for excise tests.
